Townsville’s Harris Crossing real estate development has launched an energy-saving initiative that will dramatically reduce ongoing costs to home buyers.
Maidment Group, the developer behind Harris Crossing, on the banks of the Bohle River, is offering home buyers the option to install a Tesla Powerwall 2 Home Battery System for a fraction of the normal retail price.
“Buying your new home at Harris Crossing means you’ll be building your future in Townsville’s newest premium estate and make skyrocketing energy bills a thing of the past,” said Maidment sales and marketing manager Nick Ryle.

However, without a Tesla Powerwall, solar users are limited to daylight hours to make the most of the sun’s energy.
With a Tesla Powerwall, the storage system lets you capture and store excess solar energy produced during the day for use at night.
It also allows your home to use solar-generated electricity during a utility outage.
“We don’t just take into consideration where people live, but how they live,” Mr Ryle said.
“Most Australians are looking for ways to beat the rising cost of energy bills. This offer is a great solution to that.
